I've always cared more about impact than industry. Before landing in tech, I explored medicine (200+ hours volunteering in a hospital), actuarial science (passed the first board exam), and finance (risk-analyst internship). Not out of indecision, but out of a genuine search for where I could do the most good. Each had something real to offer. None felt like where the real leverage was.

Technology is where I see the highest concentration of unsolved, high-stakes problems. The systems being built right now will reshape how knowledge gets produced, how decisions get made, how the world gets organized. I want to be working on that directly, which is why I switched into CS and why I take that seriously.

I've been drawn to analytical thinking since I was a kid: logic puzzles, math problems, understanding how things work from first principles. That instinct is why software feels like home. I started writing code in September 2025, and nine months later I'm doing undergraduate research at The Matter Lab under Alán Aspuru-Guzik, building agentic AI systems for autonomous scientific discovery. The pace of that learning curve is the most honest thing I can say about how motivated I am.

What I keep coming back to is multi-agent systems: many independent actors coordinating in a shared environment, and keeping that coordination reliable when the components are nondeterministic. In practice it's a systems problem. State that stays consistent across concurrent actors, work that outlives a single request, and enough instrumentation to explain why a run behaved the way it did. Agora Village is where I'm building that: an instrumented simulation studying how model family and personality prompting shape emergent group dynamics.

The through-line is systems where correctness is hard to define and harder to verify, which is most of the interesting software being written right now. Eventually I'd like to see how far those questions carry into embodied systems, robots sharing a physical space under real hardware constraints, but I'm far more interested in building well than in staying in one problem space.
